* PARLIAMENT HOUSE (Sansad Bhavan )

Designed by Sir Herbert Baker, its foundation was laid by the Duke of Connaught in 1921 and completed in just five years. Located near the Central Secretariat, this marvelous piece of architecture can be admired only from outside due to security reasons. The House has a diameter of 125 yards and a height of 75 ft.

Parliament House of Delhi, commonly known as the Sansad Bhavan is situated at the end point of the Sansad Marg in New Delhi. It is a huge circular structure which was opened in 1927. The dome of the Delhi Parliament House of India is 27.4 meters high. The Parliament House is spread over 2.02 hectares and it has 247 pillars with broad corridors. It is also the place of the Legislative Assembly of the country.

1. BIRLA MANDIR ( Laxmi Narayan Temple )

Birla Mandir (also known as the Laxmi Narayan Temple) is a dedicated Hindu Temple that was created in 1938. Devoted to the goddess Laxmi, Birla Mandir stands for prosperity and good fortune. As an important prayer site, Birla Mandir attracts the attention of people from all over the world, eager to set foot in the very place Mahatma Gandhi himself used to pray as well as where he was assassinated.

2. National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) ( Jaipur House )

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) is the leading Indian Art Gallery. The main museum at New Delhi was established in year 1954 by the Government of India . NGMA has vast collection of works of modern art from 1850s onward and the Gallery is also responsible for preserving, restoring and maintaining the works of Modern Art. National Gallery’s Artwork is the most significant collection of modern & contemporary Artwork in India .

National Gallery of Modern Art was inaugurated adding almost six times the space to the existing gallery, plus it has a new auditorium, preview theatre, conservation laboratory, library and academic section as well as a cafeteria and museum shop.

3. National Museum

The National Museum in New Delhi is one of the largest museums in India

Established in 1949, it holds a variety of articles ranging from pre-historic era to modern works of art.

The museum has 200,000 works of art, both of Indian and foreign origin, covering over 5,000 years of History in front of your eyes.

Must see :- Buddhist Stupa containing relics of Buddha, from a stupa built by Emperor Ashoka in 3rd century BCE.

4. National Archive Museum

National Archives Museum The first and foremost task of the Museum of National Archives, New Delhi, conserves the vital statistics of the Govt. of India in its chest .

The records holdings in the National Archives are in a regular series starting from the year 1748 A.D. These are in English, Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Sanskrit, Modi, Urdu etc., These records are on paper, palm leaf, birch bark, parchment etc. They are broadly of four categories : Public Records, Oriental Records, Manuscripts and Private Papers.

5. Museum of Natural History

National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) was inaugurated and opened to the general public on 5th June 1978, the World Environment Day. The motto of National Museum of Natural History is 'Educating while entertaining.'

Pragati Maidan are two Hindi words, which in English means “Progress Ground” or “Development Park”, a venue for large exhibitions and conventions in New Delhi. With 72,000 sq. meters of exhibition space, it is presently Delhi's largest exhibition centre.

Pragati Maidan offers about 61,290 sq. meters of covered exhibition space in 16 halls, besides 10,000 sq. meters of open display area. The complex houses 18 exhibition halls, several buildings, eateries, performance spaces and compounds, including headquarters of the Indian Trade Promotion Organization, It hosts over 70 national and international exhibitions annually, with the largest being the India International Trade Fair which attracts over 10,000 exhibitors and over 30,00,000 visitors. This complex houses five permanent exhibitions which include the Atomic Energy and Defense Pavilion. Some of the events held in Pragati Maidan are the India International Trade Fair, World Book Fair and the Auto Expo. There is also an internal shuttle bus service for those who do not wish to walk. Pragati Maidan houses a movie theatre called Shakuntalam, which is quite popular amongst tourist and locals as well ..!

8. Lalit Kala Akademi (Art Gallery)

LKA -The Lalit Kala Akademi or National Academy of Art is India's National Academy of Fine Arts. The academy was inaugurated in New Delhi on August 5th, 1954.
Our guests can always visit the various section of the Gallery to witness the ongoing exhibition & sale of paintings , sculptures and installations , all the year round .

9. TRIVENI KALA SANGAM

Triveni Kala Sangam hosts classes in art, photography, music and dance. Lunch here is popular among students and people of artistic temperament. Well known for its parathas, it is possibly the only proper restaurant in Delhi that serves home style north Indian food , along with so much of Art and Beauty for your appetite..!

Lunch: The menu rotates on a weekly basis , Out guests can pay a very nominal amount and eat the Indian as well as western food such as : Roti (non-leavened flat bread with whole wheat), daal (lentil soup of the day), red hot pepper paratha (pan fried non-leaved spicy flaky bread with regular wheat flour), lamb kabobs (grilled, spiced and minced lamb meat cakes), dry spiced potatoes and curried keema (minced meat with peas in a spicy curry). A simple and delicious meal can be followed up by excellent espresso coffee.

Window shopping: Inside the small complex there is a garden shop that sells traditional hand crafted terracotta garden toys, small birds, bird feeders, fountains, wind chimes etc.. It is a pleasant stroll even if you are not buying anything !

Guests can also see and enjoy the Artists working on their paintings and sculptures live, and if interested , can also buy the artwork directly from the artist by paying the advance amount.

10. BAHAI'S HOUSE

A special visit to the heavenly Bahai’s House, (which is also India’s Bahai’s National Center) to learn more about the Bahá'í Faith and upcoming culture in India
(specially in Delhi) and around the world , Enjoy your private evening sipping tea/coffee in the peaceful and soothing atmosphere of the house and garden with

Sect. – National Spiritual Assembly of Bahai’s of India”, along with the consent and recommendation from Senior members of the HOUSE & Local Spiritual Assembly of Delhi.
Once the permission and 'the recognition' is granted ….only then… the locals / domiciles & the foreigners are truly blessed to breathe inside the Pure, Divine and the Mesmerizing atmosphere of "Bahai House" , without any prejudice and obstacles.
